Template talk:Parliament diagram
Not working?
edit@Julio974fr: The template/module seems to have stopped working. Any idea why? Number 57 11:53, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- They disabled the Graph extension because of a security bug apparently, so we'll just have to wait (more info on Wikipedia:Help desk#Maplink template issue). I gotta say it's funny to see a bit of code breaking without it being my fault for once Julio974◆ (Talk-Contribs) 12:23, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- So that's why. ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 12:23, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
New style
editReally not a fan of the new style – it's a pie chart, not a parliament diagram. It really doesn't fit in results tables and I would just leave them blank or have a fixed image for now. I assume there is a problem with restoring the old format? Cheers, Number 57 16:09, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
- This is only a temporary redirection while waiting for the Graph extension to be re-enabled, since I still have no idea when it will be. I think the new template (Template:Seats diagram) will be retained for some uses, since it got good reception from editors in an unofficial discord group, and more importantly since it's supported on mobile (while the graph extension template isn't). - Why on earth is this being discussed on Discord and not on here? It's extremely exclusionary. Number 57 08:19, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- Is is being discussed here, here is the talk page for it. The discord server was just a way to get quick opinions and share screenshots easily. Julio974◆ (Talk-Contribs) 08:48, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- Your link loop back here, just so you know. It still mean you only get this early feedback from the discord users instead of those here on Wiki. Anyways, not a fan of the new style either. As can be seen on 2019 Swiss federal election, it doesn't show well when there's several parties with one seat each close to each other, which happen a lot in many countries with full proportional representation (imagine if it was used on 2020–21 Nigerien general election). And it's weaker at showing thin majority of only one seat, particularly in parliament with few seats. Thanks of course for the temporary template, but I really wish it will indeed be temporary. --Aréat (talk) 13:47, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Julio974fr: and @Number 57: Another, current example being the July 1932 German federal election.--Aréat (talk) 15:03, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

Doesn't Work w/ Dark Mode
editHi, this template doesn't work with dark mode, just FYI. IDK why. Allan Nonymous (talk) 13:53, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
Unsure about this template
editFrom what I could gather this was a temporary measure due to some diagrams not showig up for a while, but the way it looks is not great (it doesn't really give off the idea of a Parliament)
I'd be interested in seeing this template utilize the dot-seat design 🤓 WeaponizingArchitecture | scream at me 🤓 02:27, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- Will second this. I think reformatting this to use the dot-seat design would be a lot better, if possible. Furthermore, this template needs better dark mode support. Allan Nonymous (talk) 16:01, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- If you read the discussions above, the issue is that it used the graph extension, which has still not been fixed to my knowledge. Julio974fr would be able to confirm. Number 57 23:34, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- If i recall the issue with infoboxes on parliaments was fixed a while ago. If not could we get the attention of those who can? 🤓 WeaponizingArchitecture | scream at me 🤓 01:13, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Number 57: the extension is being completely redone from what AntiComposite has told me. 🤓 WeaponizingArchitecture | scream at me 🤓 12:00, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- I would ping Julio instead, as I'm afraid I don't have the technical knowhow for templates like this. Number 57 15:21, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- Alright. @Julio974fr: do you happen to know when the extension's redoing is to be finished? Rough estimate 🤓 WeaponizingArchitecture | scream at me 🤓 14:32, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
