MOS:FLAG

edit

The automatic flag icon should be removed per MOS:FLAG from this and all other player templates: there is no ground for its use. Drmies (talk) 19:44, 6 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Use of image with hover text for DL

edit

I've just replaced the use of {{Abbr}} with {{Hover text}} for the DL icon, but I think this template is in a weird have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too place with the icon. The icon itself may or may not be clear, but Template:MLB roster includes a helpful caption so I don't think the hover text is even required. The issue, of course, is that other pages — some not MLB-related (e.g., 1977 Dallas Cowboys season#Roster — use just this template and thus do not have the legend. I still think it'd be ideal to remove the hover text by including a legend everywhere without {{MLB roster}}, but wanted to post here in case there were opinions on the matter. ~ Amory (utc) 11:20, 23 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Support: IMO your solution is correct (remove hover text and make the legend universal), although I would add that there would be no harm in simultaneously increasing the icon's size, and thus visibility, slightly.Yogibeera (talk) 01:53, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Change {{flagicon| to {{flag icon|. The {{flag icon}} template has been moved in line with the proper naming convention of templates. Can it please be updated on here to avoid the template redirect? Thank you. 6ii9 (talk) 10:55, 17 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
