Overlap with other templates

edit

This template is starting to overlap with several other templates. Should probably remove areas covered by more specific templates (anatomy, disorders) and focus on areas not otherwise covered. Zodon (talk) 03:08, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hospital birth

edit

While I do not advocate hospital births (4 of my 5 sons were born at home), it seems like this nav box is not inclusive in that it does not represent hospital delivery. I think this might be valuable in that individuals can contrast the medical aspects of a hospital delivery with home or natural childbirth. For example, these two images present very contrasting images of childbirth. I found the first on Flickr but could not find an appropriate article to add it to.

OK, I see this is included here. np. -- btphelps (talk) (contribs) 05:32, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

What about abortion?

edit

It seems like abortion and medical abortion should appear someplace in this family of templates. Obviously this should not duplicate the extensive template on {{abortion}}, but abortion is a common result of pregnancy and a common medical procedure, so seems like it belongs in here someplace. I am not adding them at this point, partly because I am not surer that they aren't already on one of these and I am just missing them. I am not sure whether they should be on {{Pregnancy}}, or on {{Obstetrical procedures}}. Thanks. Zodon (talk) 04:00, 1 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

It should probably be added, but I'm not sure which group of the template would it fit into. Also, if we add abortion to this navbox, then the navbox should be placed at the end of the Abortion article, which already has a huge navbox, and most of the stuff covered in this template has nothing to do with abortion.

Also, we have an article on Caesarean section, why is it not included here? (or have I missed it?) Same with ectopic pregnancy. – Alensha talk 02:38, 20 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
