I deleted the MPs of Soviet Union. I also deleted the time frame division since I couldn't find any reason for such division that outweights the fact that it leads people into thinking that the Republic of Latvia in the 1990s onwards is a different one than the original.
Included and not included
editLatvian PMs should only be Latvian PMs of the sovereign republic of Latvia, first and reestablished independence. Any similar position during the SSR should have a separate template, the same as was done splitting Presidents and First Secretaries. I would argue that the SSR didn't really have a prime minister, behind the First Secretaries was Moscow's deputy secretary/power behind the throne, but that's another topic! —PētersV (talk) 02:48, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- The new look from The Quill was good, I've dropped a note that the First Secretaries would just need to be removed. —PētersV (talk) 18:14, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, The Quill created a redirection of Template:Latvian_SSR_Chairmen_of_the_Council to this template, making the Latvian SSR template defunct. It needs to be reverted. Talk/♥фĩłдωəß♥\Work 18:18, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

On reflection
editHaving the Latvian SSR interrupting is:
- missing "interrupted by"
- missing German occupation, implying the Germans occupied the Latvian SSR not Latvian republic
It should simply indicate interrupted by occupations of Latvia. I'll come up with some "neutral" wording for the pro-official Russia faction ("you can't occupy what belongs to you"). VєсrumЬа ►TALK 21:06, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
- I think you are reflecting on things that does not belong in the template. Latvian SSR never had any prime ministers - they were called first secretaries and have their own template. Talk/♥фĩłдωəß♥\Work 10:17, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
- In any event, "Latvian SSR" did not belong there indicating a governmental entity on equal footing, and there would be objections to listing "Interrupted by..." and three articles on Soviet/Nazi Germany/Soviet occupation by the protectors of Russia's reputation, so I simply removed it.
