What's the point of this template, huh? There are hardly any blue links. Pafcool2 19:47, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- In some ways, I would agree, but there is a schools project which is trying to get a page developed on each school (which would be maintained by that school). Without pre-judging the creator's efforts, I would assume this a step towards that. I admit to attempting to create lists of schools within the borough articles, many of which are now heading towards separate list articles, but I only included blue links. Some of these templates have been malformed (didn't autocollapse), where I've found that, I've fixed it.
- I'd say leave it for the moment, but ultimately it's more important to fill in the articles than it is to create more red links - and incidentally aim for uniformity across the London boro's.
- I could create stubs for these - quite quickly - but they would be very stubby and some bright spark would come along and mark them for deletion; but as you say, not much point to this without bluelinks. Kbthompson 13:01, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
This template needs a lot of work. Primary schools are not normally considered notable enough to have articles. Only primary schools with blue links should be included in such templates. The red linked secondary schools would also be best removed and only added once appropriate articles have been created. Dahliarose 23:46, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with Dahliarose. Redlinks in navigation templates seem to serve no useful purpose and also create problems, as they seem to encourage the creation of articles for schools which aren't notable. I suggest that it would be better to include the blue links only and add new articles for notable schools as they are created, which is the norm in almost all such templates. Does anyone object to that approach? Xn4 03:46, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
