Script
editI wrote a little script to make adding this template a little easier. Anytime you're on a user talk page, it gives you two options on the left under Toolbox - one for master and one for sock. Use it or don't, it's not a big deal. If you do want to, it's located at User:HelloAnnyong/sockblock.js. You'll have to importScript() it into your vector.js (or monobook.js, I guess). — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 21:02, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Period parameter
editNot sure if I did something wrong, but the template is defaulting to "blocked indefinitely" no matter what I specify in "period=" (or if I leave that parameter blank). I used {{subst:SockBlock|blocked=yes|period=duration|sig=yes}} -- Gyrofrog (talk) 17:44, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Change "This account" to "Your account" to show that the template is supposed to speak to the UTP owner instead of the reader. ミラP 17:10, 8 February 2020 (UTC)
- I disagree. I think that the proposed wording would do the opposite. Please discuss and gain consensus before reactivating the edit request template. – Jonesey95 (talk) 03:26, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
Inaccessible on mobile
editThis template is currently "invisible" on the mobile website. While you can obviously read it in the source editor, it doesn't render properly "normally". The problem appears to be the use of {{Tmbox}} (I think). Would it be possible to convert the template into something accessible on the mobile website, like {{Uw-block}}? - same thing I've noticed now, n agree with this. - AwfulReader(talk) 13:43, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

Currently, if the example of how to use the unblock template is copied and pasted using the visual editor, it doesnt correctly substitute and use the template. Replacing {{tlx|unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}
with <code><nowiki>{{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}</nowiki></code>
would fix this. See this conversation for further details. Aidan9382 (talk) 18:49, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
