Suggestion

edit

I suggest some of the 'records not set in finals' section should be optional. E.g. (tt) isn't relevant for championships; (sf) may not be relevant for championships without semis; (†) may not always be relevant; etc. Yboy83 (talk) 22:31, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Could also do with the option of being able to add a custom legend article - for example, the next pregression page I'm going to do is the 800 m free - will be wanting to add something like (yd) – set in a pool measured in yards. Yboy83 (talk) 22:34, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edit request on 9 August 2018

edit

Can somebody add optional "swim-off"-so (show only if marked "so=yes")? There are some records achieved at swim-offs. --Pelmeen10 (talk) 10:21, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Not done: According to the page's protection level you should be able to edit the page yourself. If you seem to be unable to, please reopen the request with further details. The template is semi-protected, not template-protected. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 17:20, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
I know i can but the code is not that easy. Pelmeen10 (talk) 17:48, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Pelmeen10: The problem is that the edit request templates are smart enough to determine the protection level - when you put {{Edit template-protected}} on a semi-protected page, it goes into the semi-protected edit queue, not the template-protected edit queue. So the people who will see your request are people like me (who patrol CAT:ESP but may have little-to-no coding knowledge), usually not a template editor or admin. You're better off contacting a template editor directly or posting a request somewhere like WP:VPT or WT:WPT. Sorry! ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 18:42, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Seems I figured it out myself. Pelmeen10 (talk) 22:39, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Additional codes needed

edit

The codes "=" and "ss" are used at List of world records in swimming but do not appear to be explained in the legend. Can someone please add them here? – Jonesey95 (talk) 01:11, 14 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Format breakingly wide

edit

The legend this creates breaks formatting on not standard width screens, and on mobile. The sentence this creates needs to have a lot less nowrap involved. - LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 11:20, 10 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
