WoT navigation box?

I've noticed that the See also list on some of the WoT articles is pretty uniform from article to article, and that it's starting to take up a fair bit of space.

I wonder if a navigation box of some sort linking to the top-level lists might not be a better solution? Either a box that sits at the right margin, or a template for the bottom of each page. I've included a couple possible styles, but obviously they can be modified to suit the purposes of the WoT experts here. Once something more permanent is hashed out (presuming it is agreed that this is even a good idea) we can move the template to the template namespace and start adding it to articles.

One style note—I recommend strongly resisting the urge to add every character, place, and concept to the navigation box; it would get to be unbelievably huge.

Discussion

To avoid inadvertent munging of the box layouts, discussion is best confined to this section down here. Cheers! --TenOfAllTrades(talk) 23:33, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

  • Okay, since there's been no comment or objection, I've created the template; I'll start adding it to the articles. You can find it at Template:wotnav. --TenOfAllTrades(talk) 17:08, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
  • I am a bit dubious about such a footer template at all, but I think the current one is far too large, and there is no need for it. I would request that it be restored to the previous thin bar. DES 14:34, 13 July 2005 (UTC)Reply
    • What's the use of Wheel of Time navigation bar which doesn't let you navigate through Wheel of Time books? Furthermore, it's not any larger than Template:Harrypotter. —Lowellian (talk) 18:42, July 13, 2005 (UTC)
  • Just a bit of confusion here. What is Artur Hawkwing doing as a supporting character, when characters such as Selucia, Morgase, Juilin and Birgitte are minor? My argument is not that these characters should be considered supporting characters, but rather that Artur Hawkwing should be minor, at best, as he is simply a historical figure in the world. He doesn't actually appear as a character. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.160.210.230 (talk) 17:41, 3 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Per the deletion of the WoTMUD article, I am removing WoTMUD from the template. --Pstanton (talk) 02:15, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
