9 week reserve
editIs there any way to tell whether a player is on the 9 week reserve?--J3wishVulcan 01:38, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Import/Non-Import
editI'd like to do away with the flags as they're not useful (also see MOS:FLAG) and actually often confusing when what's really of importance is import/non-import.
How about just using a symbol (an asterisk, for example) to mark imports (or non-imports) or abbreviations like IMP or NON? Thoughts? DoubleBlue (Talk) 18:20, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Personally I feel like a player's status Import status is much more apparent from looking at the flag then IMP or N/I. It also gives the player's exact nationality rather than simply whether the player is Canadian or foreign. Furthermore, much confusion can be eliminated by using the flags in conjunction with + signs when a player's birthplace does not necessarily translate to his import status. --J3wishVulcan (talk) 01:03, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry but I don't think that makes any sense. Prefontaine's non-import status is more clear with a USA flag and a + following his position than with N/I? It is pretty standard for CFL rosters to simply mark imports (or sometimes non-imports) with an asterisk or an "I"; never with flags as it's pretty meaningless according to the import rule. - How about just marking imports, then? Would that make it more apparent? DoubleBlue (Talk) 02:42, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
