Template talk:Unicode version

Version format: "14.0" or "14"?

edit

tbd: should tehe template return the .0 (zero) for {{Unicode version|version=14}}? Could also be made into a |format= option (then, what is the default?). @Drmccreedy: DePiep (talk) 09:31, 13 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

There might be a use case to suppress the trailing .0 (or .0.0). It would be an exception. As I go about my updates for v15.0 I'll keep an eye out for it. DRMcCreedy (talk) 14:52, 13 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Template overview (Sep 2022)

edit
{{Unicode version history}} → Table (renamed)
{{Unicode version/version-to-date}} → Release year; added option |format=month
{{Unicode version}}: Version number tracking (new), see Template:Unicode chart C0 Controls and Basic Latin (pilot edit)
{{Unicode version|prefix=as of|version=12}} → as of Unicode version 12.0
{{Unicode version|prefix=as of|version=13|suffix=demo with ref|ref=<ref>Hello World</ref>}} → as of Unicode version 13.0 demo with ref[1]
  • The edit into using {{Unicode version}} (like [1]) is not required before or with the release of version 15.0. I'll leave it to Drmccreedy, who will run the upcoming checks I expect (and so I will not interfere).

However, if Drmccreedy can agree I couild edit all chart templates into this (before of after going #15, as a separate edit). DePiep (talk) 11:44, 13 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
