Color Scheme
editDoes anyone else think that the colors in this template don't really match the colors of the university? The gold in this template looks a little too "yellow". Any thoughts on updating? Check out User:Fuhreeus/sandbox and let me know what you think Fuhreeus 15:45, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- I disagree, though I will say it's a little tricky to get N.D.'s colors right. While colors for the university have varied on printen materials, sports uniforms, etc. through the years, traditionally, the colors settle down around a moderately dark navy (yours would be too dark) and a yellow gold (the template basically having the right color before hand). Metallic colors are sometime used as a stand-in for gold, but on non-shiny surfaces (like a computer screen) they come out looking brown or beige, which is not gold at all. The 'gold' there looks like it falls in with the bown-beige camp. The former template was basically correct in it's color scheme, so I think it should be reverted (and will probably do so in a day or two, dependent on any responses.
- Here's a link to a logo sheet on N.D's website, keeping in mind that it's intended to be printed out, and that the metallic gold shown would have a sheen to it.
