"Counties with multiple districts"
editHow is this defined? It would appear to be a way of adding County Councils, but do people think that Ceremonial Counties would make more sense? I think it would give better representation, particularly in a historical sense. Thoughts? Ian3055 13:26, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- This template is about current local government districts, it has nothing to do with ceremonial counties. This template doesn't belong on articles about places in Yorkshire, just local government districts in the Yorkshire and Humber region. There is no historical footer for the former, but if you want one a good place to start would be List of hundreds of England and Wales#Yorkshire. Owain (talk) 13:58, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Bolding
editCan someone give the rational for bolding of some entries in the template? Keith D (talk) 10:21, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- I suspect it is to identify those districts which have city status. However, I think it should be removed as it is misleading; someone may assume those are the only areas with city status, which isn't the case, i.e. Ripon in the borough called Harrogate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.68.9.8 (talk) 21:29, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
