There is no such thing as Jewish nationalism. Not to mention the fact that Jewish nationalism wikilinks to Zionism.--Makeandtoss (talk) 13:12, 7 November 2015 (UTC) The whole template needs to be renamed...--Makeandtoss (talk) 14:39, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

A good call. Thanks. Debresser (talk) 15:41, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

In connection with this, I also have a problem with this template: all articles in the "Modern Israel" section, which is the right third part of the template, have to with the IP-conflict, but not necessarily with Zionism. "Green Line", "Israeli settlements", "Gaza Strip", "West Bank", "East Jerusalem". Debresser (talk) 18:35, 27 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

IP conflict? Makeandtoss (talk) 18:39, 27 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Oh, yes, but that relates to land of Israel... Makeandtoss (talk) 18:41, 27 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
It relates. So do another 1,00 things relate to the Land of Israel, from Canaanites to Acre Prison (related to Zionism as well) to Visit of the pope to Jerusalem. Debresser (talk) 07:35, 28 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Modern

@Debresser: it currently looks that the only thing about modern Israel is... settlements in the West Bank. Nothing about politics, economy, culture, demographics. Clearly very strong mispresentation of reality.GreyShark (dibra) 16:59, 3 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

I wrote about this as well in the section above. Debresser (talk) 18:20, 3 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Debresser: so lets decide. your ideas?GreyShark (dibra) 18:34, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
I am not happy with this template, but I think we should ask the guys to WT:JUDAISM, and not decide just the two of us. Also, what are out choices? Debresser (talk) 22:14, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Modern map

Why exactly is the Golan Heights included in modern day Israel? Makeandtoss (talk) 08:36, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

1. To reflect that factual state of affairs. 2. To reflect the point of view of the Zionist state, to which points of view this template is dedicated. Debresser (talk) 09:33, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Not really, its a time zone map anyway. Why is the West Bank differently shaded then? Makeandtoss (talk) 10:53, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Because the Golan Heights were annexed by parliamentary decision, while the West Bank wasn't. Debresser (talk) 11:41, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Not recognized by anyone, anyway. Wikipedia should not speak on behalf of Israel. --Makeandtoss (talk) 11:54, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
You asked for the reason, I gave it to you. Don't think that recognition makes a difference for the map. It is still a difference. Debresser (talk) 22:46, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Not convinced. Open any map for Israel by respected sources and you will find that the Golan Heights are not included as Israeli territories. File:Israel location map.svg this map is more neutral. --Makeandtoss (talk) 08:09, 16 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Well, the template is about Zionism, and Zionism surely sees the Golan Heights as part of Israel. :) Debresser (talk) 09:24, 16 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Zionism sees West Bank and Gaza as part of Israel, other Zionisms see Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Egypt as part of Israel. Other Zionisms see illegal Israeli settlements completely legal. :) Makeandtoss (talk) 09:36, 16 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
