editAccording to Dalio, nation success depends on the cycles and like business cycles, empires have cycles too.[3] So, it is not inevitable for a country to exist forever.[3] As per him, the most important factor in the success of a nation is their investment in education.[3]
The book covers five centuries of history.[4]
