The Death of Bunny Munro is an upcoming six-part television series for Sky Atlantic starring Matt Smith. It is an adaptation of a Nick Cave novel of the same name (2009). It is produced by Clerkenwell Films with Smith and Cave also executive producers.

Synopsis
editA misogynistic middle-aged salesman (Smith) takes his son on a road trip around Sussex after his wife's suicide at the same time as a serial-killer is inhabiting the area.[1]

editIn May 2023, Nick Cave revealed that an adaptation of the book was in the works.[2]
The six-part series was announced in November 2023 with Matt Smith cast in the titular role, created in the 2009 book written by Cave. The production by Clerkenwell films and Sky Studios has a script adaptation by Pete Jackson. Cave is executive producer, along with Matt Smith.[3] It is directed by Isabella Eklöf. Sky Studios' Manpreet Dosanjh, Clerkenwell's Petra Fried, Ed Macdonald and Emily Harrison, Jackson and Eklöf are also executive producers on the series whilst Matthew Mulot produces.[4]
A casting call for to play a 9 year-old Bunny Junior was put out in January 2024.[5]
Filming
editPrincipal photography began in May 2024, in the south of England.[6][7] Filming locations included Worthing, Eastbourne, Shoreham-by-Sea as well as Brighton and Hove in Sussex,[8][9] and wrapped on August 16.[10]
