The Raja Saab (transl. The Raja Sir) is an upcoming 2025 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy horror film written and directed by Maruthi.[2] It is produced by T. G. Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibotla under People Media Factory. The film stars Prabhas in the titular role, alongside Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar and Malavika Mohanan in lead roles.[3][4]

The film was officially announced in January 2024, in addition to the official title, The Raja Saab. Principal photography commenced in September 2022 and is currently occurring predominantly.[5] The film has music is composed by Thaman S, cinematography handled by Karthik Palani and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.[6]

The Raja Saab is scheduled to be released on 10 April 2025 theatrically.[7]

The project was officially announced on 15 January 2024 with a first look poster on the occasion of Sankranti.[8] However, principal photograhy began in September 2022.[9]

As of February 2024, the film has completed between 40% and 45% of its principal photography.[10]

Marketing

On the occasion of Sankranti, the makers released a poster with the official title of the film, featuring Prabhas.[11] A 45-seconds glimpse video revealing Prabhas's appearance from the romantic horror comedy released on 29 July 2024, along with the film's new release date.[12]

The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 10 April 2025, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages.[13]
