The Sims 4 Stuff Packs

The Sims 4 has 20 available "stuff pack" downloadable content. Stuff packs offer smaller add-ons, including new build items, create-a-sim items, and careers.[1] They are developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox. Stuff packs are smaller than both expansion packs and game packs. The first stuff pack, Luxury Party Stuff, was released on May 19, 2015.[2] The latest stuff pack, Crystal Creations Stuff, was released on February 29, 2024.[3]

Luxury Party Stuff

The Sims 4: Luxury Party Stuff was released on May 19, 2015, and is the first stuff pack for The Sims 4. It contained formal outfits and furniture suited for a party, as well as a food or drink fountain and banquet table.[4][5]

Perfect Patio Stuff

The Sims 4: Perfect Patio Stuff was released on June 16, 2015, and is the second stuff pack for The Sims 4. It reintroduced hot tubs, a feature which was found in all previous sims games. It also contained outdoor furniture and clothing.[6]

Cool Kitchen Stuff

The Sims 4: Cool Kitchen Stuff was released on August 11, 2015, and is the third stuff pack for The Sims 4. It added the ice-cream maker, kitchen furniture, and new fashion.[7][8][9]

Spooky Stuff

The Sims 4: Spooky Stuff was released on September 29, 2015, and is the fourth stuff pack for The Sims 4. It added the pumpkin carving station, spooky candy bowl, Halloween decorations, and costumes.

Gameplay

Players could carve pumpkin decorations at the pumpkin carving station. They could also hold a spooky party, if the player earns a gold medal for this event, they will unlock the Super Llama costume.[10][11]

Movie Hangout Stuff

The Sims 4: Movie Hangout Stuff was released on January 12, 2016, and is the fifth stuff pack for The Sims 4. This pack reintroduced the popcorn maker from the Sims 3 store and The Sims: Makin' Magic. It also introduced two large screen televisions (including a projector screen), and 70s bohemian inspired fashion and furniture.[12][13]

Gameplay

Popcorn can be made using the popcorn maker, and the pack comes with 10 original watchable movies.[14]

Romantic Garden Stuff

The Sims 4: Romantic Garden Stuff was released on February 9, 2016, and is the sixth stuff pack for The Sims 4. It added Victorian style garden furniture and accessories as well as floral fashion[15]

Gameplay

Players can have their sim throw a coin in the wishing well which may grant their wish or cause an unintended outcome. The Fountain of Gluteus Maximus allows sims to play and splash in it, as well as other interactions.[16]

Kids Room Stuff

The Sims 4: Kids Room Stuff was released on June 28, 2016, and is the seventh stuff pack for The Sims 4. It contained create-a-sim and build items for child sims.[17][18]

Gameplay

The pack introduced the "voidcritter" battle station allowing child sims to collect, trade and duel cards. Voidcritters were introduced as a new collectable. Child sims can use the puppet theatre to perform one of five puppet shows

The pack makes available a new radio station named "tween pop" and a new television channel named "BEtween".[19]

Backyard Stuff

The Sims 4: Backyard Stuff was released on July 12, 2016, and is the eighth stuff pack for The Sims 4. This pack contained lounge fashion and backyard furniture.[20][21]

Gameplay

The lawn water slide allows sims to slide down it and perform tricks, and the bird feeder can be used to attract birds.[22]

Vintage Glamour Stuff

The Sims 4: Vintage Glamour Stuff was released on December 6, 2016, and is the ninth stuff pack for The Sims 4. It contains old Hollywood and art deco inspired create-a-sim and build mode items.[23]

Gameplay

This pack introduced the vanity allowing sims to apply their makeup and child sims to play with makeup. It also reintroduced the butler NPC found in previous Sims games.[24][25]

Bowling Night Stuff

The Sims 4: Bowling Night Stuff was released on March 29, 2017, and is the tenth stuff pack for The Sims 4. It added bowling related gameplay, retro clothing, and mid-century modern furniture.[26][27]

Gameplay

The pack allows players to create bowling alleys for their sims to interact with and go bowling.[28]

Fitness Stuff

The Sims 4: Fitness Stuff was released on June 20, 2017, and is the eleventh stuff pack for The Sims 4. It contains activewear, and furniture.[29]

Gameplay

The rock-climbing wall introduces a new death. Sims are able to use earbuds to listen to music.[30][31]

Toddler Stuff

The Sims 4: Toddler Stuff was released on August 24, 2017, and is the twelfth stuff pack for The Sims 4. The pack adds new toddler clothing, accessories, hair, and furniture.

Gameplay

Toddler sims can play on the playground objects including the ball pit. Sims can plan the new toddler playdate social interaction.[32]

Laundry Day Stuff

The Sims 4: Laundry Day Stuff was released on January 16, 2018, and is the thirteenth stuff pack for The Sims 4. It introduced the laundry mechanic as well as country-inspired clothing and rustic build items.

Aspects of this pack were determined by a community vote.[33]

Gameplay

Sims have the option to either use a washing machine and clothes dryer or a washing board and clothesline to do their laundry.[34][35]

My First Pet Stuff

The Sims 4: My First Pet Stuff was released on March 13, 2018, and is the fourteenth stuff pack for The Sims 4. The pack added new pet furniture and clothing, as well as introducing small pets.[36]

Gameplay

Hamsters, rats, pygmy hedgehogs, and miniature bubaluses were all added as pets, which sims could name and look after.[37] Sims can contract rabid rodent fever after interacting with a small pet they have a bad relationship with, if left uncured the sim can die.[38]

Controversy

It was the first Sims downloadable content to require another content pack to access all of the features. It was labelled a "DLC for DLC".[39]

Moschino Stuff

The Sims 4: Moschino Stuff was released on August 13, 2019, and is the fifteenth stuff pack for The Sims 4. It added new high fashion clothes and furniture. The added clothes were from a real life collaboration between Moschino and The Sims.[40][41]

Gameplay

It expanded the photography interface, adding new poses. It introduced the moveable camera tripod and subject floor markings.

It also added the new freelance fashion photographer career.[42]

Tiny Living Stuff

The Sims 4: Tiny Living Stuff was released on January 21, 2020, and is the sixteenth stuff pack for The Sims 4. The pack included space-saving furniture, most notably the murphy bed, and comfy clothing.[43][44]

Gameplay

It added the new lot type "tiny home residential", conferring various benefits depending on how small the house is.

The pack introduces a new death - death by murphy bed.

Nifty Knitting Stuff

The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting Stuff was released on July 28, 2020, and is the seventeenth stuff pack for The Sims 4. It introduced the knitting skill.

Aspects of this pack were determined by a community vote.

Gameplay

This pack introduced the knitting skill, allowing sims to knit both clothing and decorations. Sims can sell their knitted creations, as well as other crafts, on the online store "Plopsy".

It also introduced the rocking chair, the creative aspiration "Lord/Lady of the Knits" and the radio stations metal and focus.[45][46][47]

Paranormal Stuff

The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff was released on January 26, 2021, and is the eighteenth stuff pack for The Sims 4. The packs adds haunted houses, the paranormal investigator career, and the medium skill.[48]

Gameplay

Haunted houses are a residential lot introduced by this pack. Specters, a type of ghost from this stuff pack, appear at night and can become angry. Sims may be attacked by mischievous specters.

The paranormal investigator career is a type of freelance career. Sims with high medium skill can remove unwanted specters from other's homes.

The medium skill can be raised by using the seance table, which allows them to talk to dead sims.[49][50]

Home Chef Hustle Stuff

The Sims 4: Home Chef Hustle Stuff was released on September 28, 2023, and is the nineteenth stuff pack for The Sims 4. It added new kitchen appliances, new clothing, and new kitchen furniture.[51]

Gameplay

The pack added three new kitchen appliances; the pizza oven, stand mixer, and waffle maker. It also introduced the food stand, allowing sims to sell their food creations. Three new recipes were added; Waffles, home-baked pizza, and focaccia. Two new aspirations were added; Appliance Wiz, and Market Magnate.[52][53][54]

Crystal Creations Stuff

The Sims 4: Crystal Creations Stuff was released on March 29, 2024, and is the twentieth stuff pack for The Sims 4. It introduces new clothing, jewellery, and the gemology skill.

Gameplay

The gemology skill allows sims to use the gemology table to cut crystals and create jewellery. These crystals can be supercharged to give the jewellery wearer benefits. It introduced the Crystal Crafter aspiration.[55][56][57]
