The Spaceport Company is a sea-based launch startup, founded în 2022, based in Woodbridge, Virginia. In may 2023, it hosted four sounding rocket launches from a platform in the Gulf of Mexico.[1] In June 2023, the company received $1.5 million from the National Security Innovation Capital fund.[2] In May 2024, the company secured a $2.5 million Pentagon contract.[3]
