Theda Hammel is an American filmmaker and musician best known for directing the 2024 comedy Stress Positions and for co-hosting the NYMPHOWARS podcast alongside Macy Rodman.[1]

Career

Hammel began releasing music under the name HAMM in 2016 and graduated from New York University Steinhardt with a Master in Music Technology degree in 2018.[2]

In 2018, Hammel starred in as Marie in a production of Wallace Shawn's 1978 play Marie and Bruce directed by Knud Adams and produced by John Early.[3]

Hammel's satirical work My Trip to Spain debuted at the virtual 2022 Sundance Film Festival. Her feature-length directorial debut, Stress Positions, premiered in the festival's U.S. Dramatic Competition in 2024.[4][5][6]
