It was released in October 1994 as the third single and title track from his album, This Is Me. The song reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in December 1994.[1]

editThis song serves as an reminder for anyone, especially the narrator's listeners who have felt judged, misunderstood, or pressured to obey for them to come forward and speak up whatever the problem is and not be silent about their emotions or struggles in their lives. The narrator also makes a personal note in the song if it's a mistake he is making, he'll undo it. But simply asks for them whose living with those emotions or struggles not to let him be a stranger to them.
