Tim McGovern (June 24, 1955 – March 30, 2024)[2][3] was an American visual effects artist. He won a Special Achievement Academy Award in the category Best Visual Effects for the film Total Recall.[4]

editMcGovern was born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 24, 1955.[5] He was a founding member of Sony Pictures Imageworks.[6] McGovern died on March 30, 2024, at age 68.[5]
