Trent Buhagiar (born 27 February 1998) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Serie B club Brescia.

Early life
editBorn in Gosford,[1] Buhagiar moved to and grew up on the Central Coast of New South Wales, playing junior football for the Umina Eagles.[2] He attended the International Football School at Kariong.[3]
Club career
editCentral Coast Mariners
editBuhagiar signed a professional deal with the Central Coast Mariners in early 2016.[2] He first came into the matchday squad for a game against Melbourne City in February 2016.[1] He scored his maiden goal on 28 December 2016 against Melbourne Victory.[4] On 4 May 2018, Buhagiar left the Central Coast Mariners.[5]
Sydney FC
editThe week after leaving Central Coast Mariners, Buhagiar joined Sydney FC on 10 May 2018.[6] Buhagiar would score 9 goals in 54 games at Sydney FC.[7]
Newcastle Jets
editOn 24 June 2022, Buhagiar would sign for Newcastle jets.[8] Buhagiar would score 5 goals in 25 league games in the 2022-23 season and scored 5 goals in 23 games in the 2023-24 season.[7] Newcastle Jets would announce Buhagiar's departure on 29 May 2024.[9]
Brescia
editBuhagiar would join Italian side Brescia on a free transfer on 5 July 2024, signing a one-year contract.[10][11]
International career
editBorn in Gosford, Australia, Buhagiar is of Maltese descent.[12]
Buhagiar was called up to the Australian under-20 national team for a training camp in July 2016.[13]
