Profile
editWhile studying at National University (NU), Tricia Robredo joined the coverage team of ABS-CBN Sports that covers the UAAP in 2013 as a courtside reporter.[1] She said that her sideline was for her late father, former DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo who died in a plane crash who is an avid fan of basketball. Then-Congresswoman Leni Robredo said that Tricia is the most affected of his death.[2] She stayed as a courtside reporter until 2014,[3] when the basketball team won the championship.[4] She was almost not returning due to her medical school pursuit in Ateneo, but still managed to be flexible at reporting with the Bulldogs.[5]
Tricia Robredo later studied at Ateneo de Manila's School of Medicine and Public Health from 2014,[4][6] She got her medical degree and in MBA 2020.[7][8][9] in an online graduation ceremony due to pandemic.[10] She also got passed at the licensure medical examination in the same year.[11]
In 2022, while campaigning for her mother, she led an event called ‘Angatleta sa Araneta’[12] which attended by athletes, especially from former UAAP volleyball players who support for her mother's campaign.[13]
Also, in the middle of campaign, same of what happened to her oldest sister and she did, she asked the National Bureau of Investigation to conduct a probe against those who spread fake lewd photos.[14]
Personal life
editShe is the second daughter of former Naga mayor Jesse Robredo and former vice president Leni Robredo.[3][15][16]
