Tuide (Korean: 튜이드; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean girl group formed by ABD (A Bold Dream), a subsidiary label of Pledis Entertainment and Hybe Corporation.[2] The group is composed of seven members: Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah, and Yi Hani. They made their debut on August 24, 2026, with the extended play Tune & Play.[3]

Name

[edit]

The group's name came from the phrase "Tune the Tide" and suggests the group's intention to blend members' styles together.[4]

History

2026–present: Introduction and debut

[edit]

Hybe teased a new label dedicated to girl groups titled ABD on May 2026.[5] The music, concept, and performance duties for the label will be helmed by longtime music producer Han Sung-soo, a figure that has previously been involved with artists like Seventeen, After School, Iz*One and TWS.[6]

The name of the girl group and its logo were confirmed and released on July 20, 2026, along with the release of social media accounts.[7] The seven members were revealed as Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah and Yi Hani.[8]

At the beginning of August 2026, the group hosted their pre-debut teaser shows in Seoul named "Tuide Exclusive Preview (Playground)",[9] where they performed the songs that were included on their debut EP Tune & Play, and announced its lead single "Sun Kiss".[10]
