1) What is Earth ?
Earth is our home .It is nearly 150 million km (94 million -miles) from the Sun, and is the fifth Largest planet in our solar
System. Earth is also the only planet in our solar system where water is found on the surface, which allows animals and planet-S to live there.
# Solar System.
Our solar system is made up of the Sun and the eight planets that travel around it -Murcury,Venus, Earth,Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The solar system also has moons,
Comets, asteroids, and metoroids Zipping through it. Scientists
Estmate that our solar system was formed about 4.6 billion Years ago!
# Day.
In an area of the Earth that facing the Sun, it will be light, and therefore day.
# Sun's rays.
As the Sun's rays reach Earth, they provide light and warmth. without the Sun, life on Earth would not exist.
# Equator.
This is an imaginary line around the middle of Earth. It lies halfway between the North and South poles.
# Axis.
This is an imaginary line around which the Earth spins as it travels around the Sun.Earth' axis is slighly tilted.
# Night.
In an area of Earth that is turned away from the Sun, it Will be dark, and therefore night.
# Earth's story.

This is the path that the Earth takes as it travels around the Sun. Earth's orbit does not from a perfect Circle. It is a slightly flattened circle, or oval. Earth takes 365 days, or a whole year, to make one complet journey around the Sun.
