Distribution

edit

P. affinis' historical distribution represents most of Tahiti, and it has gotten rarer but is still widespread, and it is known to remain on both Tahiti Nui and Tahiti Iti.[2]

Captive breeding

edit

P. affinis was in the international Partula but only 2 individuals were collected and the captive population ultimately failed to sustain itself and was extirpated.

Phylogeny

edit

Phylogenetic analyses confirmed that P. clara is not monophyletic, with specimens from different populations appearing at various parts within the tree.[3]
