The Gibson Family Games is a British television comedy series, written by Kieran R Cooper. The series first broadcast in July 2024 on BBC Two as apart of their new comedy season roll out. The series follows the titular Gibson family competing against each other in weekly game nights to get off in their unique ways. It stars Yvette Fielding, Jason Durr, Callie Cooke, Thomas Atkinson, and Ruby Stokes.

The series has received positive reviews. It was renewed for a second series and a Christmas special to air in 2025.

Premise

The Gibson family gathers or is pushed together every week to play a family game, all of which have their own needs and desires which they use the games to fulfill. Each episode focuses on a different game and in a singular location.

  • Yvette Fielding as Hilda Gibson, the matriarch, and fiercely competitive. She uses the games to win and feel superior.
  • Jason Durr as Quentin Gibson, the patriarch, submissive, and a pushover. He uses the games to woo Hilda.
  • Callie Cooke as Astrid Gibson, oldest daughter, and social media influencer in the making. She uses the games to project her into fame.
  • Thomas Atkinson as Jethro Gibson, middle child, weird and lovesick. He uses the games to stalk and keep tabs on his crush, Mike.
  • Ruby Stokes as Dina Gibson, youngest daughter, slightly insane and controlling. She created the games as an escape to keep her family close.
  • Margot as Rosie, the Gibson's layabout materialistic pet with a human-like I.Q.
