History and description of the structure

Data erect parish is not known. Church of the Saint Michael the Archangel was founded in the 13th century. The first written mention of the existence of the parish dates from 1364, probably by Górecki. Around 1630 Mikołaj Mielżyński Castellan Gniezno, a new church built of wood. Bishop Suffragan poznański- Bishop Jan Baykowski consecrated it in 1636. In 1739 it rebuilt the priest Kazimierz Sosnowiecz.

In 1818 the wooden church burned on impact lightning. Preparations for the construction of a new stone church began in 1823 and were completed in 1840 by parish priest Jan Gniadczyńskiego. The building was built without maintaining a uniform style. For this church was moved equipment from the previous church. It included a Baroque altar main dating from the 18th century, has two storey. The altar was a figure of Saint Michael the Archangel the dragon, the sides of two figures of saints and four angels. Bishop Likowski consecrated of the church in 1892. After the World War II opened the front wall of the church and set up two small lateral arches, similar to the arc of a great altar. Lastly, a Chapel Sacred Heart of Jesus. Architecturally, the church is decorated in baroque style. The main altar is a picture of Our Lady of the Rosary probably dating from the 17th century. The church also has a late-Gothic stone font.
