Vasile-Valeriu Chirita is a husband, father, coach, and former professional rugby player. Vasile-Valeriu Chirita was born on the 26th December 1973 in Pitesti, Romania He played in the tight head prop position most of his career, however he started off as a number 8 flanker.
He played for Farul Constanta, where he met his wife Nicoleta Filip. At the time she was training on the track and field arena next to the rugby club. They married in 1999 and went on to have 2 children together, Maria (2000) and Stefan (2006). He went on to get his first cap for Romania internationally in 1999. He moved his wife and 2 children to England in 2008. Vasile was involved in Rugby for over 20 years, playing key parts in coaching local clubs in England, refereeing at tournaments, volunteering at the England World Cup 2015, He stepped away from the sport indefinitely in 2016 to focus on the upbringing of his son an his sporting career.
