Alien Jones is a series of TV commercials produced by Suntory for their Boss Coffee line of canned coffees. In it, Tommy Lee Jones plays an alien sent to observe human culture on Earth, and adopts a human disguise while working odd jobs in Japan.

General Storyline in the Commercials

edit

"Jones" is often seen working at a job, and makes mostly deadpan observations about humans as part of his observational role on Earth. His attempts to hide his true identity sometimes fails as he uses his superhuman strength and alien abilities to complete a task or avoid situations. Near the end of the commercial, he is often seen drinking a canned coffee of BOSS Coffee Rainbow Mountain.

A tagline goes For this wonderful worthless world...., while a narrator ends the commercial by Introducing BOSS Rainbow Mountain Coffee.
