4th Civil Support Team- Weapons of Mass Destruction (Georgia)
Overview
edit4th Civil Support Team- Weapons of Mass Destruction (Georgia) is made up of 22 specially trained Georgia Army and Air National Guardsman. The unit is located on Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta Georgia. The 4th CST-WMD is manned by CBRN Specialists, Medical Specialists, Analytical Specialists, Communication Specialists, Administrative Specialists, and Logistical Specialists. The Unit is broken down into the following sections; Command, Operations, Survey, Medical, Decontamination, and Communications. Together all personnel maintain and operate various advanced CBRN detection and monitoring equipment and specialized Analytical and Communication vehicles to accomplish its assigned mission.
Mission
editThe 4th CST-WMD mission is to support civil authorities at domestic CBRNE incident sites in the state of Georgia by identifying CBRNE agents and substances, assessing current and projected consequences, advising on response measures, and assisting with appropriate requests for additional support. WMD-CSTs provide support for intentional or unintentional releases of CBRNE and natural or man-made disasters in the United States that result or could result in the catastrophic loss of life or property.
Deployments
editThe 4th CST-WMD does not Deploy for OCONUS operations. The unit has been a part of many incidents with-in the state of Georgia Supporting Local, State and Federal responders.
