Miriam "Mem" Martinez
editMiriam "Mem" Martinez (born 1983) is a Bolivian-born TV news reporter who has worked at numerous television stations across the southwestern United States, including KFOX-TV in El Paso, Texas and Amarillo, Texas' NBC affiliate, KAMR-TV[1].
Mem Martinez is often considered one of the most attractive female reporters on television. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and often covers human interest stories relevant to her station's market.
Rumors of Physical Deformity
editRumors persist about a physical deformation on the right hand of the TV news reporter. This rumor seems to be driven primarily by Internet innuendo and the fact that Mem is always seen on television wearing black, protective gloves, regardless of the prevailing weather conditions.
There has not been any photographic evidence of such deformities to date, though a persistent rumor involves acrosyndactyly wherein certain digits of the hand are fused together with scar tissue during fetal formation.[2]
Also cited at times are Talbot Fingers, a hereditary condition of the fingers traced back to royal lineage in the United Kingdom. Though there's been no explanation of the genealogical connection to the South American born Martinez.
