Current consensus: A lot of these references are terrible. See #Comments#DoubleGrazing. Citations that I have considered "unusable" are struck out.

Reference dump

edit

This is a "reference" dump page, where I have dumped references which I may use to create a Wikipedia article, for review by other editors. The intended subject of these references is the Mary Grace Cafe (an article which was deleted in 2016 for being non-notable). Feedback appreciated at the talk page. These citations were exported using Zotero, so the parameters might be wrong upon inspection of the wikicode.

Here's my take on this:

  • The IB Times source is not considered reliable, per WP:IBTIMES.
  • From what I understand, When In Manila is effectively a blogging site.
  • Most of the sources are about the 'ensaymada' shortage, and do not amount to the sort of significant coverage required by WP:GNG.
  • The Tatler Asia piece looks the best, but the title has a somewhat flaky reputation, and its reliability and/or independence could be questioned. In any case, that one source alone isn't enough to satisfy GNG, let alone the higher bar of WP:ORGCRIT.

If these are the only or best sources available, I can't see this getting past AfC or NPP. Sorry, --DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:35, 9 September 2022 (UTC)

Alright then. These references will remain in long-term storage. Thank you for your opinion. I will continue to add more sources here as I browse the internet. Keep in mind that I currently have no intent to even try to create an article about this restaurant. A diehard editor (talk | edits) 13:41, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
P.S. There's also the fact that there is a Rappler reference which is reliable according to WP:RAPPLER. You also haven't commented on the BusinessMirror and Coconuts reference. A diehard editor (talk | edits) 13:47, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
