In Wikipedia
editNo doubt Wikipedia is considered as the most reliable source in this age of globalization and mass communication. I used to read the articles of Wikipedia frequently in my school days for any queries that used to came in my mind. As a quizzer of national level, I had an inherent quality to inquire about the events of the world.
Moreover, I love to read books, specially on the history of Bangladesh. In 2012, I found that the Wikipedia is not rich enough to give fair idea about the events of Bangladesh and made me to write about these events, the people involved in these events and other contemporary issues in Wikipedia and thus I started contributing here.
Early Life and Education
editI was born in a prominent family of Barisal and I am among the heirs of Zamindar estates of Muladi who used to rule the northern part of Barisal in eighteenth century and continued it to the last days of British empire in nineteenth century.
I started schooling in SOS Hermann Gmeiner College, Dhaka and completed my SSC and HSC from the institution in 2010 and 2012 accordingly. I was nominated as the General Secretary of Hermann Gmeiner Science Club in 2011.
From 2007, I used to join the general knowledge competitions and science based quiz competitions. From 2009 to 2012, I appeared in the Quiz Quiz, a competition organized for the national level quizzers in Bangladesh Television.
I joined the University of Dhaka in 2013 as a student of Business Studies in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
Career
editBesides reading and quizzing, I am a writer and used to maintain a personal blog. In 2013, after a crackdown on the community blogs of the country many of my write-ups were lost. Then I started as a Contributing Op-Ed Writer in Dhaka Tribune, a national daily of Bangladesh prominent journalist Zafar Sobhan as its Editor.[1]
Moreover, I love Model United Nations and MUNing. I have served as the Director for Creative and Promotion in Dhaka University National Model United Nations 2014 and as the Director for Documentation in Bangladesh Model United Nations 2015.
I have been serving as the Press Secretary of the largest students organization of my university, Dhaka University Model United Nations Association (DUMUNA).
