About me and my use of Wikipedia
editOn most sites I just put the boilerplate text above as my profile text and just leave it at that (to avoid maintaining hundreds of "about me" pages). It seems like a good idea to add some background about my use of Wikipedia in this instance, though.
I've been a very regular user of Wikipedia (reading, not writing) since very soon after its launch. I used wikipedia for years before I actually created an account here. In fact, I created an account on Wikinews almost a whole year before I created one here. It's quite rare for a day to pass and for me to not have read at least one Wikipedia article.
I created an account since sometime in 2007, because I wanted to make an edit to a page, and I wanted to be responsible and not just anonymously edit things. I'm not a hardcore contributor or editor by any stretch of the imagination, I just make very occasional minor tweaks to articles if I read a malformed sentence or something. Hopefully I'll start contributing more as time goes on.
Contacting me
editWant to get in touch with me? It's probably best to use one of the contact methods listed on my website rather than my Wikipedia talk page, as I check those more frequently. I'm quite an approachable person, so don't be afraid to come say hi and tell me if my edits are wrong. I'll only learn if I'm corrected. :)
