    • This is a paper in the National Library of Medicine which shows how to calculate the ATP yield per fatty acid. In the article, the formulas have been listed without the citations and these may be useful.
  • Sara M Nowinski, Ashley Solmonson, Scott F Rusin, J Alan Maschek, Claire L Bensard, Sarah Fogarty, Mi-Young Jeong, Sandra Lettlova, Jordan A Berg, Jeffrey T Morgan, Yeyun Ouyang, Bradley C Naylor, Joao A Paulo, Katsuhiko Funai, James E Cox, Steven P Gygi, Dennis R Winge, Ralph J DeBerardinis, Jared Rutter (2020) Mitochondrial fatty acid synthesis coordinates oxidative metabolism in mammalian mitochondria eLife 9:e58041[1]
  • Fatty acid beta-oxidation. (n.d.). https://lipidlibrary.aocs.org/chemistry/physics/animal-lipids/fatty-acid-beta-oxidation[2]
    • The similarities header possibly needs to be changed to differences between fatty acid synthesis and beta oxidation as even though they seem similar, they are the complete opposite. It could be more detailed. The section also lacks citations.
