Abdelard Knotwitt was born in an unspecified time, at the end of an unspecified war. He being the psuedonym used by an, as of yet, unidentified writer, Abdelard Knotwitt has provoked considerable debate and numerous attempts to identify him have been made. So far, none have been successful.
At the end of 2007, it was rumoured that the Roman Abramovitch was offering a bounty of £10,000,000 to the first successful identifier of Abdelard Knotwitt, but no proof for this rumour exists. More likely, it was an intrigue devised to encourage people to step up and identify this most mysterious man.
Earlier this year, another rumour circulated that Mr Knotwitt was currently writing his autobiography. Again, no proof for this rumour exists, but if it be so, then it is generally agreed that it will be a most entertaining work of fiction.
