History & Leadership
The Ngorli Organization was founded in Fayettevile North Carolina by Raymond Amezado, a US Army veteran who was stationed at Fort Bragg. Ngorli was founded based on the principles and ideas of Chosen Generation,a nonprofit organization founded by a Ghanaian Samira Captan- Chepoo, whose father was from Lebanon. Her reason for this nonprofit was to help communities in the Achimota Area of Accra,Ghana with her focus on empowering children and the youth through education. Chosen Generation was found in 1994 and got dissolved in 1999. Raymond Amezado,by then was a children/youth leader for Chosen Generation when it got dissolved. He therefore vowed to continue the good work of promoting education for the less privileged in the society. This is how Ngorli ended up in the Achimota-Kissehman area.
