Adam W. King (b. 1982) is a community organizer and designer from Ontario, Canada.
Born in London, Ontario in 1982, Adam King spent most of his formative years in the country of Bangladesh, where his parents worked with an international Christian non-government organization.
At the age of 14, while still in Bangladesh, Adam King, along with partner David Staab, pioneered a not-for-profit design service, ReaCh Software, which did multi-media projects for charity. The King family returned to Canada in 1999, moving to Brantford, Ontario. In 2004, he co-founded the anti-corruption lobbying and activist group, Students For Good Governance while attending Glendon College, York University for political science, law and social thought.
At 23, he became the Green Party of Canada candidate for election to the Canadian House of Commons in Brant (electoral district), Ontario for the 2006 federal election.[1] Later in 2006 he also ran in municipal elections for Brantford's Ward 5, but was ultimately unsuccessful, despite a late endorsement from the outgoing encumbent. In the time since, Adam has made other headlines in local media due to his involvement in the ongoing efforts of the Brant 100 Mile Diet movement, the Brantford Arts Block group, and the Brant Greens.
Adam was also lead singer and songwriter for the rock/post-pop band False Heroics from 2003-2007, also running their record label, Pure Nard Music.
