Rcsprinter123 and Adam mugliston's private talk page. This is for their use only.

Page we currently working on: User:Rcsprinter123/List of bus routes in Suffolk, List of bus routes in Colchester

Hello, good idea, having a private talk page. I'm usually online during the day, up to around 2200. Also I should warn you I'm having a bit of a holiday from next Wednesday until the following Monday. (Missing the royal wedding.) But I'll place all the usual signs on my talk and user page and tell you, so don't worry.

Now, the list of bus routes. I'm taking my information from http://www.suffolkonboard.com/timetables_leaflets/timetable_by_service_number, don't know where you get yours.

Like the new signature by the way, nice to have a change. RcsprinterGimme a message 19:14, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Right, well we need some secondary sources or it will get deleted. Also a good place to go is operators pages, but we need independent sources. Suffolk on Board is not always good. How shall we share out the work? Remember I also have my Colchester page, but I will split my time between the two. Do you live in Suffolk? I do.  Adam mugliston  Talk  19:17, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
No, if you look at my user page you will see I live in Derbyshire. And if you look at the page I made, List of bus routes in Gloucestershire, I just based that off the local authority's website and that didn't get deleted. The table on my userspace Suffolk one just isn't 96% yet as I haven't put enough info in yet. Thanks for what you did with the operators, and thanks for dividing your time for me. RcsprinterGimme a message 19:28, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
See the examples I made for routes 1 and 1A. If you wouldn't mind, follow that example (changing colours appropriately),as then it looks neat, both when reading and editing. As for the sources, most of my pages try to get deleted. Adam mugliston  Talk  19:29, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I don't see how changing the colour of the route number is supposed to be of any use. None of the proper county bus route pages do it. Also you need a notes column. Have you seen WP:WPBBRLG. RcsprinterGimme a message 19:36, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
All right then. Colours are the same colours as on timetables/official maps etc. I live near 'Where most the High Suffolk Commuity Trasport buses start'.  Adam mugliston  Talk  19:41, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

That's pointless. And against WP:MOS. RcsprinterGimme a message 19:44, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I deleted them now. After all it's your page. Do you really think we should include the Waveney Community Buses?  Adam mugliston  Talk  19:47, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Fine. And of course you should put the community bus in. It's a bus. RcsprinterGimme a message 19:52, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
OK. Thanks for supporting Colchester!  Adam mugliston  Talk  19:57, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the picture! Is there any more (I was hoping for one per route)?  Adam mugliston  Talk  20:45, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, logging off for the night now! Get back to you. RcsprinterGimme a message 20:54, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Good morning! I'm on the Suffolk page at the moment. I'll be on it 'til about 10, then I have to do revision for my tests and from about 11 I'll do Colchester, but only for an hour or so. Tell you late what I'll do in the afternoon. Message here when you get online!  Adam mugliston  Talk  08:07, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
If you look on the history, the weird IP 86...., that was me. For some reason I got logged of.  Adam mugliston  Talk  08:25, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
WE GOT A PROBLEM! Your source is not up to date in some cases. I live close to Ipswich and we recently had a new bus service, route 4 and 4A. We need to double check the others somewhere. Traveline? First Group page? Ipswich Buses I know are fine, just need to add the 4 and 4A. How shall we share out the work?  Adam mugliston  Talk  08:38, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Don't worry, I'm working on the source. I'll add 4 and 4A in, and look at some other websites to see. For the Colchester page, there is only two pictures I can find. The one painted for route 1, and another one for route 2, which you can find on the infobox of the Network Colchester page. And how about [[File:Colchester Bus route 1.PNG]]? I'll add more routes on the Suffolk page now. RcsprinterGimme a message 09:39, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
I uploaded that one. It got deleted. Didn't have the correct copyright. Great, you add more and remember to add lots of via points, nicely spread out is best. I'll have a look through them anyway and correct 4 and 5.  Adam mugliston  Talk  10:09, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sure. Excuse my not being back for a while, but I'm doing WormTT's test and doing layout on the List of bus routes in Berkshire. RcsprinterGimme a message 10:35, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

That's fine. As you probably know, Worm TT adopted me too, so I'll be doing my Wikiquette test later today.  Adam mugliston  Talk  10:40, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hey, I did the Wikiquette test. I'm currently on the copyright one. You might not know this but the first block I ever got was a weekend off for uploading a picture without it. I mean, normally they just get speedied, but... So im gonna study extra hard on this one. I'm going for lunch soon, but I'll try and devote the afternoon to expanding the bus routes in suffolk. RcsprinterGimme a message 11:09, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
I'm going to for about an hour or so, gotta do some shopping. I added 4 and 4A and I'll sort out 5 when I get back. Myy Wikiquette test arrived, so I'll do that now. When will you be back?  Adam mugliston  Talk  11:31, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
I'll be back around two or three. RcsprinterGimme a message 11:33, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I'll be back before then.  Adam mugliston  Talk  11:36, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
I gotta ask you a question - are you like me, an absolutely bus crazy person, who documents all the routes, knows every bus in his local fleet, knows all the local timetables by heart, and have your life taken over by them? Or do you just do the lists? RcsprinterGimme a message 13:03, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
I am a bus maniac, but only for routes and timetables. I'm not interested in what kind of bus it is, just where it goes. I can tell you all of the bus routes with timetables around where I live, Winchester and about 50 routes in London. I just sit and learn off by heart (well I don't just sit there and learn, but when I do lists and stuff.  Adam mugliston  Talk  13:10, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hey guys. Best you keep information like ages and address off wikipedia, even coded (it's scary how fast people can look up information). Why don't you email it to each other? Apoligies for intruding :) WormTT · (talk) 13:13, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
OK. Do you know how to get my e-mail, Rcsprinter?  Adam mugliston  Talk  13:15, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yeah.RcsprinterGimme a message 14:30, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Good, I'll wait for your e-mail. Have you put more Suffolk stuff on yet?  Adam mugliston  Talk  14:34, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Not yet, I'm actually a bit busier than I thought I was going to be, so I haven't had time. I sent you an email though. Is the weather hot where you are? Roasting here. RcsprinterGimme a message 14:41, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
OK, No problem. I found more routes that weren't on the Suffolk on Board page.  Adam mugliston  Talk  09:44, 22 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Fine. Sent you an email. RcsprinterGimme a message 09:55, 22 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
I sent you one back, too.  Adam mugliston  Talk  09:58, 22 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Could we perhaps invite Wilbysuffolk? RcsprinterGimme a message 20:52, 22 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I see you've created a List of bus routes in Hampshire page, with only the template on it. What was the point? RcsprinterGimme a message 12:55, 23 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
