Since December 2021, He is deployed in the Darfur Region in Sudan as Human Rights Officer Coordinating the United Nations Monitoring Analysis Reporting and arrangement (MARA) system as well as the Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism (MRM) on Child Rights Violations system. Highly qualified Human Rights Officer, Adama KONATE has seven years of experience in United Nations Joint Human Rights Office. From 2019 to 2021, He worked as Human rights and PoC Officer in the Eastern part of the DR Congo. in this capacity, He engaged with armed groups to ensure protection of civilian's particularly women and children during armed and intercommunal conflicts. He engaged with Community leaders to contact armed groups leaders, call them and remind them about their responsibility under International Human Rights Law, IHL and Refugees Law. He organized sensitization through media to send clear message on PoC and individual protection needs and supported the protection of civilian mandate of the UN Mission throught the planning. From 2017 to 2019, He supported the implementation of the UN HRDDP mandate by drafting risks assessment and proposed decisions prior to any UN support to non-UN security Forces as well as delivery of capacity building. From 2016 to 2017, He ensured the coordination and implementation of the MARA in the Katanga Province through implementation of monitoring and reporting mechanism as well as early warning systems. From 2015 to 2016. He also worked with International NGOs such as SOS Children's villages, the International Rescue Committee (IRC)as well as with the World Bank as Expert on peace building.

Adama KONATE has skills covering Human Rights monitoring and analysis, conflict management and preventive diplomacy (mediation, negotiation), management of humanitarian and development programs, strategic analysis, coordination and institutional representation.

During the electoral process in DR Congo in 2018 as well as the in Ivory Coast in 2010, He contributed to the prevention of electoral violence's through the organization of workshop and sensitization of all the actors taking part in the process including the civil society, political parties, religious and community leaders.
