My main use for Wikipedia will be mostly for school purposes. Such as researching a certain topic or to learn more about something.

Article evaluation

Portland meadows, it was closed down a couple of years ago. Though it was a memorable place for people involved and those who like horse racing. It was where we used to go run our horses when I was younger. Since. I visited the Portland Meadow's article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on are the citations as current as possible? is it up to date, and Are there any irrelevant sections or sentences."

Citation's

Some of the first things you notice when clicking on the article of Portland meadows is that there are citations missing. The citations that are missing are some pretty big one such as names of people and places that are known like cities and sports venues. I also noticed that there is a link missing to the main website of what used to be the race track.

Age

The last time the article was updated/edited was April 16 2021. Most everything from when it closed and where the location was moved is stated. though the articles from the citations are old it doesn't have any new news its mostly just accomplishments and things that have happened from a while back.

Structure

In this article it does have a part with irrelevant sections. It starts off with a company that bought the place and it goes on about the triumphs that have been done at the track. It also talks about milestones like the track got this much money from one day and that this trainer won this many races in one day. It seems it goes a little off topic it doesn't really talk about the ownership besides the point that those owners renovated the whole track and acquired a betting license.

Conclusion

Overall I think the page could use more content than it has. This page is pretty up to date las time it was updated was about a week ago. Some things that could use a refresh are the citations there are some missing and some citations are from long ago. This page could also use a update on its content like a revision and sorting things that are relevant with their section and putting the irrelevant things in another section together.
