If we want to stay true to the claim that we are "the encyclopedia anyone can edit", we should get rid of this policy. We are not "the encyclopedia that anyone but you can edit". Blocking also violates the First Amendment that Wikipedia, being based in Florida, is bound by. This policy could just be archived, yes. But I think we need to make a statement to all the rouge admins out there, that blocking people really is unacceptable.
