Past Ownership

Scoo Leary owned the building throughout this time and still owns and leases the building to Z2entertainment to this day.

History of The Building

edit

The building that currently hosts the Aggie Theatre started its life as a clothes store called Harris-Warner Furniture Company which opened in 1916. It operated until 1948 when it transformed into the Neutze Furniture Company run by John and Mary Neutze. But in 1951 tragedy struck when the building burned down everything except for its 4 exterior walls.

Architect Perry Knight rebuilt the Aggie in 1953 and turned it into a movie theatre. However, the theatre closed in 1987 but was later reopened in 1990. It had a brief stint as a movie venue before being converted into a concert venue in 1995. Since then it has operated as a music venue hosting acts from all over the world and of all genres.
