The Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) is a membership body for project management in Australia.
Overview
editThe Institute was formed in 1976 as the Project Managers' Forum. In 1989 the AIPM was incorporated under Australian law as a not for profit membership association.

The Institute's RegPM program is a competency based certification that is based on the workplace competency of the candidate.

The Institute developed in 19xx the National Competency Standards for Project Management. These were adopted by National Training Information Service (NTIS) in 1996 for use as the Business Service Package for Project Management. This standard was mandated by the Australian Government as the reference for Project Management courses and accreditation in Australia at the Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels.
