Article review

I visited the Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: its lack of credible citations, lack of information, and reliable sources.

Credible Links

I noticed that when you click on the word communications in the article, it takes you to YouTube to an Episode of the Simpsons. The Simpsons is a TV show, but is not a credible TV show. In the link it does not describe what a communications major is but rather says a bias of what a communication major is. 

Lack of Information

When reading this article, I noticed that in general there was a lack of information. The article did not go into detail about who Joy Degruy is, where she actually has traveled and what the Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome is a how it affects people who are African decent in the United States. It should go more into detail about each by giving them their own sections. 

Reliable Sources

Finally, when reading this article, I also noticed that there was a lack of reliable sources.  The only source used is her book, and when stating what Dr. Joy Degruy states about PTSS there is no source to back up that she actually has said this. It seems as if this is something that the author may have wrote or thought of himself rather than Joy Degruy.

Summary

Overall, I would rate this page as “needs a lot of work.’ The information provided is acceptable for the back cover of a book, but for a Wikipedia article definitely could use some work. The article lacks credible citations, can definitely add more information about the author and add more reliable sources.
