Ishawna Natalia Smith (born September 29, 1986), popularly known as ISHAWNA. she is a Jamaican dancehall artist, born in the Parish of Kingston, Seaview gardens then later moved to New York at a Tender age. While living in Brooklyn she was apart of a singing group called Honey-Do. She rose to fame after she was discovered and taken under the wing of Bounty Killer in 2009.

She did Collaborations with Dancehall artistes such as Vybz Kartel, Demarco, Masicka, Teejay and many more. she Collaborated with International singers Safaree and Wyclef Jean. ISHAWNA'S first hit was in 2014 with her song called "Restraining Order" ever since she had done multiple hits such as: Need Love (2015), Cheerful Giver (2015), Private mi page (2016), Everybody need someone (2016), Equal rights (2017), Mi belly (2017), Slippery When Wet (2018), Want it (2019) and the list goes on. Ishawna was with Downsound Records then she left in 2016. In 2017 she appeared on Sway's Radio show in New York to discuss her huge hit called equal rights.

Ishawna is also a businesswoman. She has an event called "Ishawna's Festive Tuesdays" and her Fashion Line called " Legendary by Ishawna". Ishawna have performed in countries such as St. Kitts. Guyana , St Vincent, England, Canada,USA, sT Martin etc. Ishawna did a Remix on Cardi B's and Megan Thee Stallion song called WAP which caught the attention of Cardi B.
