3.8 1. Is there a warning banner at the top of the article? No

3.8 The issue is that the article or section is contradicting itself, it matters because then it is not making sense and it confuses the readers.

3.8 2. Is the lead section of the article easy to understand? Does it summarize the key points of the article?

Yes, for me it was very easy to understand, it does summarize the key points. A lot of the main points about Day of the Dead are mentioned briefly. Also, the article does not use hard words that I can't understand. so that is a great thing.

3.8 3. Is the structure of the article clear? “Are there several headings and subheadings, images and diagrams at appropriate places, and appendices and foonotes at the end?”

The structure of the article is organized beautifully, there is pictures and references at the end. It is not all over the place, they are in the appropiate places.

3.8 4. Are “the various aspects of the topic balanced well”? That is does it seem to provide a comprehensive overview of the topic?

The various aspects are balanced that it makes it easy for the reader to understand what they are talking about, it definitely has a comprehensive overview because there are words in bold letting the reader know, about what will be mentioned in that particular section.

3.8 5. Does the article provide a “neutral point of view”? Does it read like an encyclopedia article instead of a persuasive essay?

Yes, it has a neutral point it is not trying to persuade us to take a particular side. Instead it is informing us of this celebration, and where it came from.

3.8 6. Are the references and footnotes citing reliable sources? Do they point to scholarly and trustworthy information? Beware of references to blogs; look for references to books, scholarly journal articles, government sources, etc.

The references seem reliable, some point to scholarly information. The reason I believe they are reliable because one of the references came from an .org website meaning that it is more reliable than a .com website because .org is non profit organizations.

7. Look for these signs of bad quality and comment on their presence or absence from the article you are evaluating: However, something I did notice is that when I clicked on some links from the references, they were no longer working.

The lead section is very well-written in correct English. I liked that it even had links in the sentences so if I wanted to know more about that particular word I could just click on it.

I felt that there wasn't, instead there was opinion/statements that did have the name of the person who had said that. I didn't really find statements that were not neutral.

3.8 c. does the article refer “to ‘some,’ ‘many,’ or other unnamed groups of people,” instead of specific organizations or authors or facts?

It actually does mention specific people/organizations. For example article mentions, "indigenous people, Mexican ancestry, Spanish, José Guadalupe Posada."

3.8 d. does the article seem to omit aspects of the topic?

It actually seems to talk about everything that has to do with Day of the Dead, like beliefs, origins, and the altars.

3.8 e. are some sections overly long compared to other sections of similar importance to the topic?

The section of "beliefs" is longer compared to other sections of similar importance.

3.8 f. does the article lack sufficient references or footnotes?

I felt that it had enough references

When I viewed the history, I felt that the dialogue between editors was good. No disrespectful treatment was seen, they all were respectful about the people's corrections.

The purpose is to inform readers about what Day of the Dead is, where it came from, beliefs about it, what they do to honor the loved ones who have passed away, things like that.
