Reductio ad Pedophileum

Reduction to pedophilia is a common argument tactic that seeks to utilize other known fallacies such as False equivalence, Ad hominem , Association fallacy and more from the List of fallacies.

Typically this term refers to a rhetorical strategy where the speaker attacks the character, motive, or some other attribute of the person or group making an argument rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself through accusations of Pedophilia. This avoids genuine debate by creating a diversion to some irrelevant but often highly charged issue.

History

Back at 2016 on an anonymous message board 4chan -- a hotbed of far-right extremism, hoaxes, and harassment campaigns -- has initiated or bolstered misinformation campaigns attempting to connect LGBTQ people to pedophilia. Most notably, users have falsely claimed that the LGBTQ community is adding a “P” for “pedosexual” to become the “LGBTP” community. Fact-checking website Snopes debunked two “LGBTP” misinformation campaigns that originated on 4chan in 2016 and 2017. Both campaigns partly targeted LGBTQ people in a failed attempt to trick them into supporting pedophiles.

Meanwhile at Tumblr since July 2013 and its acquisition by Yahoo, Tumblr progressively restricted adult content on the site. In July 2013, Tumblr began to filter content in adult-tagged blogs from appearing in search results and tagged displays unless the user was logged. This act single handedly started the relocation program of the more degenerate Tumbler users on to Twitter, until finally in November 2018, Tumblr's iOS app was removed by Apple from its App Store after illegal child pornography images were found on the service which dislocated even more degenerate Tumbler users on to Twitter, which facilitated the Social justice warrior iron grip on the platform.

Since than the former Tumbler users cultivated a victimhood culture on the website which promotes Cancel culture, in which many associations are made between the Anime media and its fandoms and Pedophilia in an attempt to promote their progressive agendas.
