DEPARTMENT OF GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT STUDIES

Gender and Development Studies looks into the social norms and power structures that affect the lives and opportunities offered to the diverse groups of men and women. It advocates for the integration of gender equity as a key intellectual perspective in comprehensive sustainable development. Keeping the vision of gaining equality with the various fields of higher education, research and study of the advanced world, the department was established in 2011. Academic program of the department is cautiously designed and developed with a view to blending theories with real life situations considering the prospects of employment opportunities in governmental and non-governmental organizations.
